Planning Ahead // Goals for 2022

2021 is starting to wind down, and while I’m wrapping up some projects before the year ends, I’m starting to think ahead to the new year. I’m working on some plans and goals, and here are a few that I have set already:

Create 30 originals. Ever since rebranding I’ve tried to make 3-4 originals a month, and while that’s been happening, I want to leave some wiggle room for life and other projects coming up!

2016 Recap, 2017 Goals

What a year 2016 was!

While looking back at my goals for the year, I realized the year flew by so fast I wasn’t able to accomplish them all. However, I accomplished some things that I didn’t even think were possible when I was planning for the year.

My goals for the year included:

Take more online classes. I had registered for six, but only took two. I did product photography and a pen, ink, and watercolor classes. I really learned a lot, and will definitely be using a lot of the photography tips in 2017 as I improve my product listings on Etsy.

Continue to better the quality of my work. Always an ongoing process, but I feel like I’m starting to get there! I just got a new flatbed scanner and a drafting table with a special light a couple months ago, so that should really help increase productivity and quality.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everyone!

Last year I made some resolutions/goals for the year, and I thought it would be great to review them as well as talk about goals for 2016.

My goals for 2015 review:

  • Take a children’s book illustrating class and a pet portrait class
    • I did take the illustrating children’s book class (that was a foreshadowing to Boathouse when I made that goal last year!), but somehow never actually registered for the pet drawing class so I never took it…
