2021 is starting to wind down, and while I’m wrapping up some projects before the year ends, I’m starting to think ahead to the new year. I’m working on some plans and goals, and here are a few that I have set already:
Create 30 originals. Ever since rebranding I’ve tried to make 3-4 originals a month, and while that’s been happening, I want to leave some wiggle room for life and other projects coming up!
Sell five originals. This is about average, or even on the low side of average, for a typical year for me. However, I’m still in the rebuilding stages after taking so much time off, so am setting the goal here.
Hit 1000 sales in my Etsy shop. I’m at almost 700 now so I’m going to work harder at promoting my work better and hopefully doing some galleries, exhibits and festivals to help with this…which leads me to these next plans…..
Look into more gallery and exhibit options. I have a local gallery I will be checking into, I’ll be keeping my eye open for exhibits at Dansville Artworks again, and researching other locations and opportunities as well.
Do at least one art festival. Okay, this one may or may not be out of my hands as we don’t know what will happen in the world, but I really, REALLY miss seeing people, talking to people, and doing festivals. I have a list of festivals I want to apply to, I just need to get my butt in gear and get pictures taken so when applications come out I’m ready!
Illustrate & publish two books. I’m hoping to get Boathouse 5 out and either another book with RV that is sitting in my pile of things to work on or complete Boathouse 6 as well!
Do you set any goals for the new year? I’d love to hear one if you’d like to share!
