Today is Drawing #7, which means one week has been completed! Woo hoo!
I feel like every day of the challenge there has been some circumstance or another that makes me question as to if I’ll be able to get that drawing done or not (I guess that’s why it’s call a challenge?). Today was no exception as it was a snow day (and another confirmed for tomorrow already!), and I find it really hard to concentrate with everyone home.
Thankfully, my husband took the kiddos outside to clear the driveway and play, and I was able to get most of the drawing done during that time, and was able to finish it up while the kiddos were playing quietly!
Title: Mozzie
Medium: Graphite pencil and white ink on acid free paper
Size: 5×7
This piece was suggested by my friend Michelle R. She had suggested drawing our pets, and I didn’t know why I hadn’t thought of that in the first place! This is my sweet kitty, Mozzie.
We call this his “low blood sugar” pose. He will just walk along in front of you, and then drop to the ground like this looking for a treat! Sometimes he’ll do it just to be annoying, but mostly for a little something to eat 😉
A question we get often is where we got his name. We were watching the TV show White Collar and fell in love with a character named….you guessed it….Mozzie! Whenever I fall in love with a character, I always joke around that I’m going to get another pet and name it after the character. Well, it just so happened that the people who live across from church had barn kitties free to a good home around the time we were watching the show, and I just cannot pass up a black and white kitty!
The original is available for purchase in my Etsy store here.

Do you have a cat, and if so, what is their most annoying habit?
Nice
